i love the hard transition blips, but i’m not so keen on the overly bright shapes. the monochrome shape, floating above the planet, invokes a sense of fear & doom that i find oddly appealing. it’d be interesting to see what one could do using just sound files/images available from nasa’s archives. possible future assignment?
Experimental filmmakers Semiconductor recently worked with NASA scientists involved with the solar mission, STEREO, to take images from the agency’s Heliospheric Imager of solar wind and coronal mass ejections (CME) to create Black Rain, a followup to Brilliant Noise, Semiconductor’s film which used satellite data of the sun.

Astrofysiker Professor Bengt Gustafsson i GBG
Javisst, Bengt Gustafsson, professor i teoretisk astrofysik vid Uppsala Universitet, skall hålla föredrag i Domkyrkan (ironiskt) här i Göteborg på Onsdag den 18:e feb, kl 18:30. Jag och lite vänner skall dit och se om det är intressant.
Uppdatering: Föredraget var trevligt och mysigt med en del schysta bilder. Nivån var väldigt grundläggande. Allt som allt helt ok.
